Service Terms & Conditions

{last updated January 28, 2026}

1. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

Your appointments are very important to us and are reserved especially for you. We understand that schedule changes may be necessary; however, we respectfully request at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

No-Show Fee: Any customer who fails to show up for a scheduled appointment without prior notice, or cancels with less than 24 hours' notice, will be charged a $100.00 Service Fee to the credit card on file.

Authorization: By booking an appointment, you authorize Colorado Backflow Tester, LLC to charge this fee in the event of a No-Call/No-Show.

2. Testing Fees & Results

Backflow prevention assembly testing is a professional service for the labor and expertise required to evaluate the device.

Payment for Service: The testing fee is due in full regardless of whether the device receives a Pass or Fail result. A "Fail" result indicates the device requires repair or maintenance to meet safety standards, and the fee covers the diagnostic test performed to reach that conclusion.

3. Communication Consent (SMS & Email)

You consent to receive automated appointment reminders, service updates, and compliance notifications via SMS and email.

You may opt-out by replying "STOP," but doing so does not waive your responsibility for the No-Show Policy if an appointment is missed.

4. Report Submission & Compliance

Passing Tests: To ensure administrative accuracy, no passing reports will be submitted to the Water Purveyor (city/county/private entity) until full payment for the service has been received.

Failing Tests: In compliance with local health and safety regulations, Colorado Backflow Tester, LLC is required to notify the Water Purveyor of any Failed Tests within the same business day the test is performed. Notification of a failure does not constitute a completed compliance filing.

5. Right of Access and Site Readiness

The customer is responsible for ensuring the backflow assembly is accessible at the time of service. This includes unlocking gates, securing pets, and clearing debris/brush/obstructions from the area. Colorado Backflow Tester, LLC will not be required to remove any obstructions that may interfere with the testing procedures. If the technician is unable to access the device during the scheduled window, it will be treated as a No-Show, and the $100 service fee will apply.

6. Limitation of Liability (Existing Damage)

Backflow devices are often old or weathered. Sometimes, just turning a shut-off valve can cause a leak if the device is already failing.

Colorado Backflow Tester, LLC is not responsible for the failure of aged, corroded, or improperly maintained components during the standard testing process. While our technicians use industry-standard care, the customer acknowledges that the mechanical stress of testing (opening/closing valves) may reveal pre-existing weaknesses for which Colorado Backflow Tester, LLC is not liable for repair or replacement.

7. Scope of Service vs. Repair

The initial booking fee covers the Certified Test and Report Submission only. It does not include the cost of parts, labor for repairs, or re-testing fees should the device fail. If a repair is required, a separate written estimate will be provided for customer approval before any additional work is performed. This estimate can be delivered in email or SMS. No repairs will be performed without written approval from the customer. This approval must be in the form of an email or SMS message.

8. Emergency or "Must-Pass" Deadlines

While we strive for same-day reporting for tests, Colorado Backflow Tester, LLC is not responsible for any fines, water service interruptions, or penalties imposed by the Water Purveyor due to the customer scheduling service too close to a compliance deadline. We recommend scheduling at least 14 days prior to your Purveyor’s due date.
